Multiple outlets are reporting that the Arizona Diamondbacks and second baseman Aaron Hill have agreed to a three year extension worth $35 million.

Hill would have become a free agent at the end of this season. He finished last season with a .302;/.360/.522 line while hitting 26 home runs and driving in 85 RBI. Hill also stole 14 bases for the Diamondbacks and provides steady defense up the middle.

Turning 31 in March, Hill was acquired by the Diamondbacks from Toronto in a deal for Kelly Johnson.
