The Cleveland Indians continued their minor league signings by adding Jeremy Hermida. Hermida spent last season with San Diego collecting 27 plate appearances.
Adding Hermdia will provide the Indians with depth at the minor league level. Hermida was once a highly thought of prospect but has never stuck in the majors.
In parts of eight big league seasons Hermida has compiled a .257/.334/.415 line with 65 home runs and 250 RBI. While Hermida has primarily played right field he does have experience in left and center which could make him useful for the Indians at some point this season.
