Ben Broussard attemping comeback, works out for five teams

Former big leaguer Ben Broussard is attempting a return to the major leagues. Broussard has not played in the major leagues since 2008.

Broussard worked out for five teams on Wednesday in Austin, Texas. He took grounders at first base and fly balls in left field.

It is hard to imagine any team would sign Broussard with the intent to use him as more then minor league depth. In Broussard’s seven big league seasons he compiled a .263/.324/.450 line while hitting 87 home runs and driving in 314 RBI.

No word on who the five teams were.
