Hiroyuki Nakajima has signed a deal with the Oakland Athletics. The Japanese star was introduced to the media he explained the reasons why.
Speaking though an interpreter, Nakajima told reports that “Billy Beane is extremely sexy and cool, so that’s definitely one of the reasons why I signed with the A’s.”
The shortstop signed a two-year deal worth $6.5 million which also includes option years. Prior to making the jump to Oakland, Nakajima played for the Seibu Lions in Japan. Last season the Yankees were unable to sign Nakajima after winning a bid via the posting system.
