Homer Bailey strikes out six straight in NLDS

Homer Bailey struck out six San Fransisco Giant batters in a row from the fourth to sixth innings in Tuesday nights National League Divisional Series match up between the Cincinnati Reds and San Fransisco Giants.

The stretch started in the fourth inning with back to back swinging strike outs of Giants Buster Posey and Hunter Pence. Bailey then got Brandon Belt stuck out looking before wrapping up the fifth with strike outs of Gregor Blanco and Brandon Crawford. The sixth batter in the sequence was Aubrey Huff who struck out swinging.

Angel Pagan grounded out to Brandon Phillips to break up the streak. The Giants would record their first hit of the game when Marco Scutaro singled on a grounder to right field.

The Giants scored in the third inning when Bailey hit Blanco and then walked Crawford. A bunt and fly allowed Blanco to score.
