This year’s draft doesn’t exactly boast superstar talent. Meaning many of these players aren’t suitable to play the role of a franchise player. However, given their talent, many of these players coming out of college will make great role players in the NBA. Therefore, this draft is expected to have valuable pieces for struggling teams.

Otto Porter makes a great fit for the Washington Wizards. Recent reports say that Porter will only work out for the NBA teams with the top three picks. That would mean the Cleveland Cavaliers, Orlando Magic and Washington Wizards.

Porter’s agent believes that he’s certain to get chosen as a top 3 pick in this year’s NBA draft. His draft stock is rising, and many analysts think he’ll get drafted by the Washington Wizards. The Washington Wizards are in need of a forward, and with the No.3 pick, Otto Porter would complement John Wall and Bradley Beal. The Wizards would finally establish a solid young core, similar to the Golden State Warriors.

The Washington Wizards desperately need some help at the forward position, and Jan Vesely was expected to fill that void. However, after being drafted in 2011, he turned out to be a complete let down.

By drafting Porter, the Wizards will receive a multi-skilled small forward. He’s 6’8 with a lot of length; he possesses a phenomenal wingspan of 7’1, as well as a 205lb frame. He’s extremely athletic with great size. Considering the fact that he’s entering the draft after a successful sophomore season at Georgetown, Porter has a lot of raw potential. Furthermore, Porter’s connection with Georgetown also makes him far more likely to be taken as the No.3 pick in the 2013 NBA Draft.
