Titans head coach Ken Whisenhunt blamed the offensive line for the Titans poor production on the ground in Sunday’s loss to Baltimore.
Bishop Sankey ran 17 times for 58 yards in the contest but Whisenhunt is not about to blame his rookie back yet.
“He started off running the ball really well, but we didn’t do as great a job blocking for him as it progressed,” said Whisenhunt to reporters.
The Titans get to play a banged up Steelers defense this Monday night which should make Sankey and company’s stat lines look better. Whisenhunt did add that Sankey would not be adding third down duties to his workload at this time.
Sankey is the clear lead back in Tennessee after Shonn Greene was benched for fumbling last week.
