The New England Patriots signed wide receiver Austin Collie to a contract on Thursday.
New England has numerous injuries at wide receiver with Danny Amendola (groin), Aaron Dobson (neck), Kenbrell Thompkins (shoulder) and Matt Slater (wrist) all on the injury report.
Collie is no sure bet to be healthy, having dealt with concussions and a ruptured patella tendon , but does provide the team depth in the slot behind Julian Edelman.
The 49ers opted to let Collie go at the end of the preseason. The Titan were known to have worked him out a few days ago.
