Ray Lewis may be done for season

The Dallas Cowboys did the Ravens plenty of favors on Sunday as the Ravens hung on to a 31-29 victory in Baltimore. The win was not without injury though and it appears that Ray Lewis may have been lost for the season.

Jeff Darlington of NFL.com reported on twitter that the Ravens’ defense has cause for concern

“Very bad news for Ravens’ defense: The team fears torn triceps for LB Ray Lewis and torn ACL for CB Lardarius Webb, according to sources.” @JeffDarlington on twitter

The triceps injury to Lewis could be a career-ender as the All-Pro has talked about wanting to retire so he can watch his son play. Lewis stated earlier this year that he would retire if the Ravens won the Super Bowl but then backed off those comments. Maybe he no longer gets that choice?

More news about this injury will come out during the week but the initial prognosis is not a good one for Lewis or for a Ravens defense which has been struggling thus far this season.
