Brett Gardner suffered a strained left oblique in the first inning of Thursday’s game against Baltimore. The injury occurred on a check swing.
Garnder’s season could be over if the Yankees fail to make the post season as these injuries typically take two to three weeks to come back from.
Left oblique strain for Brett Gardner. That can easily be a 2-3 week problem, or more. Did it on checkswing.

If Gardner is in fact done for the season he will finish with a .273/.344/.416 line with eight home runs and 81 runs scored. Garnder stole 24 bases this season.
