Former Minnesota Twins manager Ron Gardenhire will interview with the San Diego Padres for the same spot reports the San Diego Union Tribune.
The Padres are looking for a new manager after firing Bud Black early this season and then dismissing interim manager Pat Murphy at the end of the season.
With the Twins, Garenhire won six division titles finishing with a 1,068-1,039 record in 13 seasons. The 57-year-old has also been linked to the vacant Washington Nationals manager job.
Other names expected to emerge for the position are Scott Servais and Andy Green.
