Dan Uggla played with an undetected concussion last season while splitting time between the Braves and Giants.
Fans of the Braves surely are rolling their eyes at hearing this after Uggla finished last season with a .149/.229/.213 line. Nick Cafardo of the Boston Globe reports that the concussion “was confirmed by doctors this offseason.”
Uggla singed a minor league deal with the Nationals on Friday and will be given a chance to complete for their vacant second base job.
