In 2014 the Colorado Rockies used LaTroy Hawkins in their closers role. He responded admirably.
Hawkins had a 3.31 ERA, 1.20 WHIP and notched 23 saves on 26 attempts.
The Rockies should have Hawkins in a similar role again in 2015. The 41-year-old Hawkins continues to chug along. In September he picked up his 1,000th appearance becoming the 16th pitcher to appear in 1,000 or more games.
