The Baltimore Orioles have sent starting pitcher Kevin Gausman to the Gulf Coast League.
Before anyone loses their mind, the move was made so that the Orioles could add an additional arm to their bullpen.
Gausman will return to the Orioles when rosters expand on Monday.
The right handed Gausman pitched on Wednesday night against Tampa Bay lasting just four innings allowing three runs – two earned – on six hits while striking out four. On the season he sports a 3.84 ERA and a 1.38 WHIP.
