Atlanta Braves outfielder Justin Upton was diagnosed with a lower back contusion after leaving Saturday’s game against the Chicago Cubs.
Upton was involved in a collision with Cubs first baseman Anthony Rizzo on the base paths and later was hit with a Jeff Samardziga fast ball.

The Braves could give Upton a day off on Sunday but he should not miss any significant amount of time. In Saturday’s game Upton was replaced by Jordan Schafer.
