On Friday the Atlanta Braves will have Mike Minor on the mound for his season debut.
Minor got a late start on spring training due to shoulder soreness and has been making rehab starts at the Double-A level. Now the Braves are ready for Minor to make his 2014 debut and he will do so against the San Francisco Giants.
A season ago Minor made 32 starts and posted a 13-9 record, 3.21 ERA and a 1.09 WHIP.
When Minor returns on Friday, Hale is expected to go to the pen.

In order to make room for Minor, the Braves will send David Hale to the bullpen. It is a tough break for Hale who owed a 2.31 ERA in four starts. He will now occupy a spot in long relief and await a chance to make some spot starts.
