Clayton Kershaw of the Los Angeles Dodgers is ready for a rehab assignment following a 50-pitch simulated game on Sunday.

Kershaw went three innings in the simulated game throwing at strength. According to Dodgers manager Don Mattingly the left hander was throwing 90 mph. No announcement has been made by the Dodgers as to the plan for Kershaw. He figures to need at-least a few rehab starts.

Kershaw has made just one start this season. He has won the Cy Young in two of the last three seasons.

Sam Fuld claimed on waivers by Twins

Outfielder Sam Fuld has been claimed on waivers by the Minnesota Twins.

Fuld was placed on waivers by the Athletics and instantly becomes an option for the Twins outfield which has struggled this season.  Fuld himself is a career .233/.312/.334 hitter so how much he brings to the Twins is debatable.

If nothing else Fuld provides a good glove in the field.
