The Tampa Bay Rays will sign pitcher Chris Archer to a six-year extension according to FOX Sports’ Ken Rosenthal.
Archer, 25, will get around $25 million over his new six-year deal which includes club options for 2020 and 2021. He was not arbitration eligible until 2015 meaning his new deal will buy out all of his arbitration years and his first one to three years of free agency.
