Jenrry Mejia may be the favorite for the fifth starters spot of the New York Mets rotation but manager Terry Collins says the 24-year-old right hander could always make the team out of the bullpen.
Terry Collins says Mejia is a candidate for the Opening Day bullpen if he does not make the rotation. #Mets

In five starts at the end of the 2013 season Mejia went 1-2 with a 2.30 ERA and a 1.17 WHIP. He posted a 27/4 K/B ratio during that time.
We’d be surprised if Mejia does not claim the rotation spot but stranger things will happen this spring.
