The 28 year old outfielder requested $5.85 million and was offered $3.4 million from the Diamondbacks when arbitration figures were exchanged last month, so the two sides settled nearly in the middle.
Trumbo was acquired by the Diamondbacks in a three-team trade that saw the team part with Tyler Skaggs and outfielder Adam Eaton.
Trumbo hit .234 with 34 home runs and 100 RBI for the Los Angeles Angels last season.
