It may be too soon to say he is back but Evan Gattis produced in his return to the Atlanta Braves lineup.
Gattis, 27, had been demoted to Triple-A Gwinnett recently in an effort to get regular at-bats. He returned in time for Tuesday’s game and responded by going 3-for-3 with his 16th home run in the Braves 3-1 win over the Mets.
The Braves will probably try to ride the hot streak out in hopes of getting Gattis back on track. He had been hitless in his previous 16 at-bats before his demotion.
