The New York Yankees have signed infielder Mark Reynolds to a major league contract.
Reynolds, 30, was released by the Cleveland Indians earlier this week and choose to sign with the Yankees over three other clubs.
While Reynolds batted only .215/.307/.373 with the Indians he did mash 15 home runs and could see regular time filling in at first, third and the DH spot in New York.
