Adam Dunn is owed a lot of money so it should come as little surprise that he cleared waivers.
Dunn can now be traded to any team but with $20 million left on the books that is no small task.
Baltimore and Texas are two teams who could be a landing spot for Dunn – if they can work out the money issues with Chicago.
Dunn is hitting just .227 on the season with 26 home runs and 69 RBI but has been singing a hot bat since the end of July. Over Dunn’s last 11 games he is hitting .368/.444/.579 with two home runs and eight RBI.
Texas is known to be the team that claimed White Sox outfielder Alex Rios on Thursday though a deal does not appear to be happening. Rios is owed $12.5 million next year and is hitting .277 with 12 home runs and 26 stolen bases this year.
