The Texas Rangers have placed starting pitcher Yu Darvish on the disabled list.
Darvish has a slight strain in his right trapezius muscle according to the Rangers and will miss his scheduled start on Thursday. The good news for the Rangers is that the right hander is expected to be ready to pitch when he can come off the disabled list.
In 18 starts this season Darvish is 8-4 with a 3.02 ERA and a 1.05 WHIP.
Selected to the All-Star game the AL will name a replacement for Darvish.
