The Baltimore Orioles signed veteran catcher Ronny Paulino on Monday adding catching depth to their organization. Paulino played 20 games for the Orioles last season before attempting to win a spot with the Mariners this spring.
Paulino was unable to gain another job after his release this spring.
The 32-year-old Paulino is a career .272/.324/.376 hitter with 33 home runs and 216 RBI. He figures to be assigned to Triple-A Norfolk where he will serve as organization depth initially.
