Red Sox to honor Newtown with special patch on Opening Day

The Boston Red Sox will honor the victims of the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting in Newton, CT with a patch on their jerseys. The patch has a ribbon, the town’s seal and a star for each of the 26 victims.

The Red Sox will play against the Yankees at 1:05 pm EST. The game can be seen on ESPN.
