Former Eagles coach Chip Kelly has already had an interview with the 49ers.
Kelly was fired with one game remaining in this third year with the Eagles after the team failed to make the playoffs. He was 26-21 during his three year run with the team but failed to make the playoffs in each of the last two seasons despite expectations.

Kelly flamed out with the Eagles largely because of his personnel decisions. The former Oregon coach has never had much in the form of a quarterback since making the move to the NFL. Kelly would have to work some magic to get something out of a rapidly regressing Colin Kaeperenick.
Hiring Kelly may be the best case scenario for the 49ers after firing Jim Tomsoula after just one season. Kelly has also been linked to the opening with the Titans who have Marcus Mariotta – a player Kelly recruited to play at Oregon.
