Alex Palou began Sunday’s running of Children’s of Alabama Grand Prix on the pole and would be largely unchallenged on the day enroute to his second win of the 2026 season and the 21st of his career.
The closest anyone came to Palou was Christian Lundgaaard who appeared to be putting himself in a position to battle for the lead before a mistake on the final pitstop left him to battle with Graham Rahal. Lundgaard would get around Rahal who would hold off David Malukas for the final podium spot.
