Pato O’Ward won the first of two NTT IndyCar Series races at Iowa Speedway this weekend.
Starting fifth, O’Ward would find his way to the front around polesitter Josef Newgarden who would finish second. They were joined by Will Power on the podium.
Scott McLaughlin who began the race 27th following a crash in qualifying would finish third as the biggest mover of the race while Alex Palou finished fifth.

A day of misfortune continued for Kyle Kirkwood who crashed in practice and would do so again in the race finishing 26th.
