Denny Hamlin wins at Michigan, FireKeepers Casino 400 Results

Denny Hamlin scored his third win of the 2025 season and his third at Michigan International Speedway claiming the checkered flag in the FireKeepers Casino 400.

Chase Briscoe began on the pole for the third straight race and he would lead early before giving way to William Byron. Further back in the pack Tyler Reddick was working his way reup though the field after a poor qualifying run. Chris Buescher would move to the front of the field in the closing laps of the first stage and hang on for the stage win.

Denny Hamlin, Chase Briscoe and Ryan Blaney would jump up to the front of the field after strong pitstops. The first caution for an incident happened on lap 60 when John Hunter Nemechek and Noah Gragson spun down the backstretch. Chase Elliott would lead the field back to the green flag with Byron taking second from Blaney on lap 66 before a red flag came for a hard hit by Alex Bowman on lap 68. Nemechek would spin bringing out a second caution after the restart. Elliott’s decision to pitstop would alter the front of the field with Byron grabbing the lead after the green flag returned. Blaney brought out the fifth caution after getting loose in turn four and spinning near the pits ending up with a flat right front tire. Byron would go onto win the second stage.

In the third stage Carson Hocevar would start to show he would be a threat on the day as Denny Hamlin. Bubba Wallace and Reddick moved into the top five. Hocevar saw his chances at a win go away after he developed a flat tire on lap 182 as Hamlin began to make his way though the front part of the field. With four to go Byron and Hamlin battled for the win with the latter getting the top spot. With one to go Byron ran out of fuel giving Buescher second.
