IndyCar drivers got to drive on both a dry and wet Barber Motorsports Park. While Sunday’s race is expected to be dry, drivers nonetheless did take the opportunity to get some laps in on the wet surface.
When the practice session ended it was David Malukas who found himself atop the speed chart followed by Alex Palou, Christian Lundgaard, Will Power and Louis Foster.
There were several drivers who found themselves going off the racing surface. The most notable was Pato O’Ward who lost the handle of his car in Turn 17 before crashing into a tire barrier.
