Zane Smith will start on the pole for the Jack Link’s 500 on Sunday.
With a lap of 52.565, Smith placed his No. 38 on the pole at Talladega Superspeedway where he will be joined by Kyle Busch on the front row. Joey Logano, Ryan Preece, and Austin Dillion round out the top five.
Last fall’s winner William Byron will start the race from the 16th position while 2024 spring winner Tyler Reddick starts 26th.
The pole is the first in the career of Smith in the Cup Series.
Coverage of the Jack Link’s 500 at Talladega Superspeedway will air on FOX beginning at 3:00 pm ET Sunday.
