Daniel Hemric, the 2021 Xfinity Series champion, had never won a Craftsman Truck Series race.
On Friday Hemric won at Martinsville Speedway claiming $50,000 for the Triple Truck Challenge in the Boys and Girls Club of the Blue Ridge 200.

The race appeared to be Corey Heim’s to lose and unfortunately for the second week in a row Heim felt heartache. The truck of Kayden Honeycutt cut the left rear tire of Heim resulting in him going into the wall. Heim had began the race on the pole and won the first two stages prior to the incident.
