Scott McLaughlin put his No. 3 Team Penske Chevrolet on the pole for the first NTT IndyCar Series race of 2025.
McLaughlin began his 2025 championship hunt by putting up the fast lap with a time of 59.462 to edge out Colton Herta.
Teammates Felix Rosenqvist and Marcus Armstrong claimed the second row for Sunday’s race.
Last season fellow Team Penske driver Josef Newgarden crossed the finish line first but was later stripped of the win due to a push to pass issue giving the win to Pato O’Ward.
Coverage of the NTT IndyCar season opener will air on FOX beginning at noon on Sunday.
