The 2024 NASCAR Xfinity Series champion will begin the 2025 season on the pole at Daytona International Speedway after rain canceled qualifying on Saturday.
Justin Allgaier’s No. 7 Chevrolet will be on the pole for United Rentals 300 which will air on the CW Network beginning at 5:00 pm ET. Allgaier raced his way into the Daytona 500 earlier in the week and will appear in Sunday’s race in the first ever race for JR Motorsports at the Cup Series Level.
The Daytona International Speedway is already known for its high-speed, door-to-door racing, and now, with drivers forced to adapt to an unexpected starting order, the drama is sure to be even more intense. Without the chance to fine-tune their cars in qualifying runs, teams will have to rely on their setups and instincts as they take the green flag for 120 laps of non-stop action.
The United Rentals 300 is always one of the most exciting races of the Xfinity Series season, and this year’s edition is shaping up to be an absolute spectacle. Superspeedway racing at Daytona is all about pack racing, daring moves, and the ever-present threat of “The Big One,” where a single mistake can trigger a massive multi-car crash. With drivers hungry to start their season on a high note, expect aggressive drafting, bold passes, and a few surprise contenders making their way to the front. Rain may have delayed qualifying, but it has only fueled the anticipation—now, it’s all about who can rise to the challenge when the green flag drops.
As the sun (hopefully) shines over Daytona on race day, the stage is set for a dramatic battle where anything can happen. Will a veteran steal the show with a masterclass in superspeedway racing, or will a rising star seize the opportunity to make a name for themselves? With no clear favorite and plenty of unknowns due to the rain-altered lineup, this race is shaping up to be a true test of adaptability and raw talent.
