Christopher Bell will start from the pole in Saturday’s running of the Sports Clips Haircuts VFW Help a Hero 200.
Bell, driving the No. 20 Joe Gibbs Racing entry, topped the field by more than half a mile-per-hour.
The Xfinity Series has just four races left in their regular season. including this one. Currently eight drivers are locked into the playoffs while others appear good on points should no new winners go to victory lane. Currently Sammy Smith is 15 points out of the playoffs while Brandon Jones and others are more than 100 points back.
AJ Allmendinger is 113 points above the cutline, Sheldon Creed is +93, Ryan Sieg +59 and Parker Klingerman +44. They are hoping to join Justin Allgaier, Chandler Smith, Austin Hill. Cole Custer, Shane Van Gisbergen, Riley Herbst, Jesse Love, and Sam Mayer in the playoffs.
Dawson Cram was the lone DNQ.
