Rain played a factor at Michigan International Speedway this weekend, ultimately forcing the postponement of the Fire Keepers Casino 400 to Monday.
The event will now resume at 11 am on USA Network and the NBC Sports App.
Cup Series qualifying was canceled on Saturday due to rain with the start of Sunday’s event also being delayed. Drivers completed 51 of the 200 scheduled laps on Sunday and were in the second stage when rain forced a red flag.
At the time of the stoppage, Chase Elliott was the race leader ahead of Martin Truex Jr., Bubba Wallace, Alex Bowman and Tyler Reddick
Pole sitter Denny Hamlin took a spin in his No. 11 on the 38th lap of the race and was in 17th at the time of the red flag.
Seventh place Kyle Larson has led the most laps so far at 34.
Last year the event also finished on a Monday with Chris Buescher finding victory lane.
