For the second straight year the Chicago Street Race did not go the scheduled distance as weather played a role in deciding the Cup Series winner.
Alex Bowman would win the Grant Park 165 after Christopher Bell and others in front of him opted to pit for slick tires prior to the end of stage 2.
Joey Hand began the third stage in the lead before Bowman made his move. Bell began to move up from 11th but contact from Martin Truex Jr. found his chances of winning erased. Tyler Reddick would make a late charge at Bowman only to make contact with a wall.
The win ensures Bowman will be part of the 2024 Cup Series playoffs.
