Rain fell on the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Couse between qualifying and the running of the USF 2000 race resulting in a wet track surface which posed a problem for several drivers in the field.
Early on it became clear that the race would not reach its 20 scheduled laps and instead would turn into a 40-minute timed event as incidents happened in multiple turns early on.
When the race finally went green again on lap 9 it lasted just a moment as Carson Etter spun and got beached in the gravel resulting in another full course caution.
The race would resume quickly but after two laps Jace Bacon would be involved in this third incident of the race beaching himself in turn four.
As the field took lap 17, the drivers received the green and white flags signifying the race would end with the completion of lap 18.
Max Taylor began the lap ahead of Max Garcia holding on to the win by 0.6031 seconds.
