Louis Foster won Sunday’s Indy NXT race at Portland International Raceway.
Louis Foster began the race on the pole but the race would not make it though the first turn before a crash occurred damaging multiple cars including Jacob Abel, Josh Pierson, Yuven Sundaramoorthy, Hunter McElrea, Reece Gold and Kyffin Simpson. Championship leader Christian Rasmussen would snake though the barriers but appeared to avoid damage while his closest championship contenders in McElrea and Abel found themselves losing laps.
When the race resumed Foster remained out front and was not challenged for the win.
Rasmussen would finish fifth and now takes a 65 point lead into the season’s final weekend.
