The No. 20 car set a lap of 29.804 in qualifying for the NASCAR Xfinity Series race to be held later in the day.
Saturday’s race at Darlington Raceway is filled with Cup Series drivers with Denny Hamlin starting alongside Nemechek on the front row. Kyle Larson will start 12th with Kyle Busch rolling off 14th.
