The No. 98 Thorsport Racing truck of Ty Majeski had issues during pre-race inspection at the Milwaukee Mile.
Crew chief Joe Shear was ejected from the race and a right-rear tire has been confiscated by NASCAR.
Majeski, a Wisconsin native, will have to start at the back of the field to start the Safe Harbors 175 and be forced to serve a pass-though penalty at the start of the race.
Any points penalty and/or fines will be announced during the week.
Majeski is the most recent winner in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series with a win at Indianapolis Raceway Park which guarantees him a spot in the next round of the playoffs, the round of 8.
