Carson Hocevar won the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series regular season finale at Richmond after a decision in the last stage to pit allowed him to run down Ty Majeski who was on old tires.
Ty Majeski began the Worldwide Express 250 on the pole and won the first stage as Hocevar started at the rear and worked his way though the field. The second stage would see a few spins but ended with Majeski out front.
Unfortunately for Majeski he would get a penalty for too fast entering the pits which would see him drop to the rear. Hocevar would seize the lead from Ben Rhodes on lap 150. Majeski would work his way though the field being shown as the fastest on the track.
Majeski opted to stay out on old tires which proved to be costly as it allowed Hocevar to cut into his lead and then make a pass for the race win.
Matt DiBenedetto, Nick Sanchez and Matt Crafton all made the playoffs on points as a result.
