Christian Rasmussen was the fastest in the Indy NXT Series lone practice session at Iowa Speedway.
The driver of the No. 6 was able to drop a best time of 19.9464 at the 0.875-mile oval. Qualifying for the Indy NXT race will take place at 6:30 pm ET on Friday. Rasmussen enters the weekend 16 points behind Nolan Siegel in the point standings.
Matthew Brabham driving a one-off in the No. 75 after Juncos Hollinger Racing parted ways with Indianapolis Road Course winner Matteo Nannini was 15thfastest of 16 drivers running just 24 laps while most others had totaled 50 or more.
Iowa’s NXT race will take place at 11:00 am ET on Saturday. Coverage of that race will air on Peacock.
