Kyle Kirkwood was the fastest driver in Friday’s first practice session on the streets of Toronto.
With a time of 1:00.8075, Kirkwood topped the field with teammate Romain Grosjean following. Felix Rosenqvist, Colton Herta and Scott McLaughlin rounded out the top-five.
Tom Blomqvist, filling in for Simon Pagenaud, was 26thfastest, three seconds off the pace.
The NTT IndyCar Series is racing at the 11 turn street course this weekend. Drivers will be tasked with navigating around the 1.786 mile track a total of 85 times come Sunday.
Saturday will feature the second practice session in the morning with qualifying taking place in the afternoon. The Toronto Grand Prix will air on Peacock beginning at 1:30 pm ET.
