Aric Almirola has scored the pole for the NASCAR Cup Series race at Atlanta Motor Speedway.
On Sunday Almirola will lead a field to the green flag for the Quaker State 400 Available at Walmart after posting a lap of 31.261. Joining Almirola on the front row will be Ryan Blaney.
This is the fifth pole for Almirola in his 443rd career start in the Cup Series.
The Cup Series’ Quaker State 400 Available at Walmart will air on USA Network and the NBC Sports Stream beginning at 7:00 pm ET. The race will consist of 260 laps around the 1.54-mile track. There will be stage breaks at laps 60 and 160.
