Colton Herta won the pole for Sunday’s IndyCar race at Mid Ohio.
The driver of the No. 26 Honda is with his third different race stagiest of the season. Already the team has scored a pole with a decision to go to fresh primary tires that paid off. Herta will be seeking to rebound after a strong performance at Road America went away from him due to fuel concerns.
Pato O’Ward would lose his fast lap and dropped from the first round of qualifying after going off the course and bringing out a red flag. That resulted in him from going from fastest in his group to last.
All three Rahal Letterman Lanigan cars made the top-12 of qualifying with Graham Rahal being their best qualifier with a second place starting position.
The IndyCar race at the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course will air on the USA Network and Peacock tomorrow beginning at 1:45 pm ET. The race is scheduled for 80 laps.
