Lirim Zendeli took advantage of contact on the warm up lap to move to the front of the field. It would prove to be all Zendeli would need as he scored the win in Race No. 2 of the USF Pro 2000 Series’ trip to Road America.
Contact on the warm up lap would send the front row of Christian Weir and Michael d’Orlando to the pits with Weir losing a lap and d’Orlando out of his car. After a lap under yellow the race would settle into a green run with Lirim Zendeli trying to inch away from Francesco Pizzi and the rest of the top four.
On lap seven multiple drivers would go off the track including Salvador de Alba and Louka St-Jean who would lose multiple spots after being in a close battle with others for fifth. The caution would come out as a result. On lap 10 Jordan Missig would go off the track after contact from another car but he was able to keep going preventing a yellow flag.
