Amaury Cordeel began the race on the pole with Jak Crawford joining him. By lap 2 Crawford was forced to the pits after opening lap contact. Frederik Vesti, who entered as the points leader, would then take the lead before the lap finished.
The 26 lap race began on a wet track with drivers on rain tires. Even with spray still coming off the cars by lap 8 drivers started searching the track for wet spots in order to cool off their tires.
On lap 11 Theo Pourchaire would get around Jack Doohan for fifth. Cordell would go off track on lap 12 dropping from fourth to sixth on the mistake. Roman Stanek went around contact from Juan Manuel Correa as Stanek tried to go around the outside.
Jehan Daruvala and Kush Maini would pit on lap 17 to switch to slicks in hopes of moving up the field as Cordeel would pick up a 5 second penalty for track limits.
As Daruvala became the fastest car on the track Novalak, Nissany and Boschung react. A virtual safety car was displayed on lap 19 after Correa went into the gravel pit. This prompted everyone else to pit for slicks including race leader Vesti.
The race would not resume until lap 24 setting up a three lap rush to the finish. On the restart Theo Pourchaire would move up from fourth to second in a matter of corners setting his sights on Vesti.
The clock would run out leaving one lap to go. Pourchaire would set the fastest lap on the final circuit however he would not be close enough to capitalize as Vesti crossed the line to claim the win.
