Alex Palou will lead the NTT IndyCar Series field to the green flag on the streets of Detroit on Sunday.
With a lap of 1:01.8592 the driver of the No. 10 car earned the top spot in Saturday’s qualifying session. Joining him on the front row will be Scott McLaughlin.
This is the maiden voyage for IndyCar on this circuit as the series shifts from Belle Isle to a ten turn, 1.7-mile downtown layout.
The Detroit Grand Prix will consist of 100 laps or 170 miles around the street circuit beginning at 3:00 pm ET. The race will air on NBC/Peacock (TV/Steaming) as well as IndyCar Radio/SiriusXM (Radio).
